The field is down to 70 golfers left in the PGA Tour Playoffs and also this week’s championship, the BMW Championship, is arguably the most important of this year.
However, would not second week’s PGA Tour Championship be the greatest?
This year is the initial year of the cascading beginning strokes below par, effect, if you will.
I broke the playoff machine a week. Just take a quick look .
Speaking of last week, Brooks did not get the win that we called for.
I had been, obviously, surprised to see him finish all the way back at 30th. He was 10 strokes from the ice-cold killer/winner Patrick Reed, who’s currently ranked 2nd in the FedEx Cup Standings.
Patrick Cantlay hit for a top twenty wager (+125) for us and Justin Rose was near some top-five since he finished 10th.
I guess we got a little greedy there chasing (+450) odds.
Billy Horschel shot just 1 under Sunday to finish 21st. Of course, we’d him top twenty.
I would say maybe we ought to concentrate on some golfers around the bubble at or around the 30th spot in the standings but I don’t think it’s about motivation at this stage in the season.
I think every playoff golfer is all in like ol’ Doyle Brunson.
It is going to definitely be interesting.
Let us go ahead, guys, and reach the chances, have a peek at this course, and make some picks!
Medinah #3 is part of what was at one time constructed by the Shriners to be the greatest country club built.
Thus the. They also possess a gun club, Olympic swimming pool, and a bunch of other cool country club things the well-to-do get to savor.
Tiger Woods, y???all!
Once we write him off, he is straight back into the mixture. Now sitting in 38th, he can definitely use a large placing to place himself into contention to defend his title at the next week’s Tour Championship.
The PGA Championship was held here twice, in 1999 and again in 2006.
Woods won both.
It has been some time, yes, however, he’s on the radar.
Hairy weather is expected. It is not likely to be chilly, naturally, but there will be rain and moderate winds.
It is a lengthy path where par 5 scoring will play a major part in the achievement of the golfers.
I believe average driving distance will likely probably be an important statistic to look at and even more so greens in regulation.
This championship features Big Poppa written around it.
Yes, I know 2 to 1 odds are not diddly squat at the golf game but this really will be the whole world #1 we’re speaking about here.
۱۴th in driving space and 10th at GIR is a great start.
Oh, he is the best golfer in the world.
He shines on the PGA Tour’s greatest stage.
Blah. You men know the spiel.
He had an off week this past one but I am on the Koepka train to pull into the station with a top-five complete.
I talked about Woods before, and I think he has a fantastic shot .
He knows the courses in which he’s the best opportunities to excel and that week is for sure one such opportunity.
He also missed the cut last week. We can have a look at this as a positive or negative. I think that it’s a positive. He knew the course didn’t suit him as well as this week and at this stage in his careerhe does not just have 2-3 high quality performances , in consecutive weeks which is.
He also missed the cut in the Open Championship but which has been almost expected considering that the cold wet conditions wreak havoc on his many aches and pains he has left being the best golfer of the time.
Before that, he was 21st, 9th, and 1st in his past four championships.
I think that the old guy has another encounter left him. He did it last year.
While a top twenty finish may not be enough to get him into the upper 30, Tiger will definitely be on the prowl.
The Spaniard is the most famous golfer on the Tour.
There, I said it.
Someone had to.
With all the talk about Brooks, while deserving since I believe he’s the very best, Rahm has dominated the Summer.
These are all his finishes article Memorial Day in reverse sequence: 3rd, 7th, 11th, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Need I say more?
He’s best twenty on the entire year in driving distance that ought to prove all-important as I don’t think the singles hitters are going to flourish at Medinah #3.
I’m like you.
I can’t wait for a week also this fresh cascading beginning strokes under par.
Curiosity has ol’ George and myself.
But If we could only see what the man in the yellow hat has to say about things…
That is the week for the big hitters. I like Rory but he can be quite so helter-skelter.
Rahm is the model of consistency and Brooks is your ideal.
It’s Difficult to leave those 2 men alone,
Twist Tiger Woods in there to creep into the top twenty in hopes of making the cut next week’s overcast line and we’ve got a good spread.
Tune in, turn the Correct Palmer, and enjoy the links.
We just have one more week until the PGA takes a September fracture.
